I found out a few things last night:
~I can't sleep with music that has words.
~I can't see in the dark very well.
~I can't turn off an iPod in the dark.
~In May, it is actually quite cold at night, whether in a building or not.
~Giant pillows and a quilt can only create so much warmth.
~2am wake-up from Rory's grumbling bout a work call is...confusing, to say the least. (haha)
~Rory needs more than six hours of sleep or else he ignores his alarm clock.
~Rory's alarm is very annoying. VERY annoying.
Hopefully I've learned my lessons from last night and can adapt accordingly tonight. But for now, I'm chillin in the Bronco Bash office thinking up random things for me to work on. (SPONSORSHIP PEEPS--CALL ME BACK!)
A few errands and whatnot later and hopefully some more progress on my awesome thesis research and maybe a scholarship, too. (Only a lil at a time, though cuz it IS summer!)
Lookin forward to some fun times with Sara this week to catch up bout her weekend and to have a picnic lunch at some point (The weather better cooperate!). Also, after shopping with Josh and Jess and then chillin with them yesterday, I'll hopefully have some more fun times with them, too! (Hide and seek? YES!)
Not too much other news, except that I'm starting to miss my friends who actually went home for the summer, so I better be keeping in touch with eveyone! The bummer part is that I won't get any mail for a couple of weeks...
More updates later! Oh yeah...HAPPY MONDAY!

So this is what Saturday is supposed to feel like...
Hi! Today is Saturday FOR SURE! Woke up round 10:30 this morning, and it was glorious. Lounging, sweatpants, lil bit of tv and reading. I walked to the Bernhard Center to steal some wi-fi and get shtuff done for my thesis and other essentials (Facebook, ya know). Funny how this day called Saturday messes with the sleep schedule AND the food schedule. I ate round 11:30 (breakfast) and am thinkin bout food again, and it's 2:30. We'll see. Sara said I could eat leftover mashed potatoes that are in the fridge. I think I might just do that for...lunch? No, dinner? Dunno.
So since Thursday I've been up to no good. That's not true, but shtuff has happened. Like bowling, which was fun. Wait. I didn't bowl. It was spectator-bowling. Like I said, it was fun. And then there was Friday. Library shenanigans (on campus this time). Does anyone have an answer why the heck Waldo library doesn't like to provide the books I'm lookin for? Maybe I need a database expert to track down those tricky titles. It's gonna happen, no worries. But I did get two books (woo!). Yesterday was wedding day, too. ALEX AND KATRINA's wedding!!! Good times. Yummy food. Great friends.
I've been sitting in this lil nook in the Bernhard Center for a loooong time. Bout two and a half hours. Damn I'm productive! Yeeee-uh! Ok, power trip is over now. We'll see how long it lasts. Next adventure: get up and re-awaken my lap cuz my laptop has made it numb.

Five Days In...
I like to say that my summer started five days ago... That's right, last Sunday, I gave away my RA keys and moved in for the week at Sara Coleman's apartment! You have no idea how EXCITING this was for me! A summer adventure in Kalamazoo--and it's been AMAZING so far! From starting my first days of work as a bronco Bash coordinator, to cooking meals with Sara, watching TV and movies, painting nails, trying to get a library card (fail), and just chillin out! I even got to see Allie Doty yesterday, and she stayed for dinner (chicken, potatoes and cucumbers!), and then we went to Coldstone (yay for gift cards!). Other adventures involve Rory and Beth...moving Rory to Draper, goin shoppin at Meijer...yup, it's been fun!
So yeah, Sara and I have gotten to know each other pretty well in the past few days. I got her official stamp of approval (she said we could hang out more this summer! OMG! haha). Sara has started a blog, too on the site Tumbler (I think). Hopefully we both keep them up because I feel like we're both pretty awesome people who have a LOT to say about life!
Oh and I'm sure all of the juicy Bronco Bash details are being waited on eagerly by allllll of my readers...right?! Haha, I can only reveal so much, but there's really not all that much going on except for my constant endeavors to secure sponsorships. But I feel important, I love my co-coordinators and my 'bosses' in SALP, and I'm super pumped to plan this amazing event!
Today I have a lovely research meeting to get goin more on my thesis (proposal done by the end of the month? Hopefully!). Sara also leaves tomorrow for the weekend, so it's gonna be just me chillin at her place. She's amazing, I love that she trusts me and that she is SO much fun to live with ! :)
But that's that. Hopefully lots more to come!
